McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner
Providing 1500 watts of steam power, this heavy-duty cleaner requires no chemicals and is easy to use. Ideal for cleaning and detailing cars, trucks, motorcycles, or boats, the cleaner removes stains and odors from upholstery, carpeting, and floor mats, as well as grease and grime from engines, wheels, and chrome accessories. It also works well for removing stuck-on dirt from the BBQ grill, patio furniture, or garage. The “steam ready” light indicates when the unit is ready to use, and a steam-control switch provides control over the amount of steam coming from the unit. The cleaner features a storage compartment for its 10 attachments, which include a steam jet nozzle, two extension wands, a triangle brush, an upholstery/floor brush, and a utility brush, as well as a squeegee, funnel, measuring cup, and terry cover for the floor brush. Its 12-foot power cord, caster wheels, and included accessories offer convenient mobility and make it easy to clean nooks and crannies in hard-to-reach places. The 13-pound steam cleaner has a 50-ounce water-tank capacity, which allows for one full hour of use. The unit measures 17-1/2 by 11-3/7 by 9-1/4 inches. –Catie Unger Customer Review: McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner I like the unit as it does exactly what I need it to do. The only problem that I have with the unit is that I can’t get replacement parts or new attachments as I was told this unit is no longer manufactured. The unit can be preplaced but the small attachments can not (I didn’t understand that????) I use my unit in the home and on my detail jobs to clean carpet and upholstery. Don’t use it on headliners as the steam will cause the glue to lose its adhesive properties and you will end up with a sagging headliner. To make this unit better I would make it a continuous fill unit with more metal attachment (steam has melted a few of the brush britles) and had more attachments that will change the spray of the steam such as full stream, Flat, U-shaped etc. with the new attachments I think that this would be a top tier product for the money.
Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
Lucinda Williams makes this whole music thing seem so simple: Write in plain language about the people and places that crowd your memory; add subtle flavors of a mandolin here, a Dobro there, perhaps an accordion or slide guitar; above all, sing as honestly and naturally as you can. Of course, it took her six years to achieve this simplicity, an amazing achievement considering the number of knobs that were turned. Her exquisite voice moans and groans and slips and slides–she delivers a polished tone in a coarse manner. On the superb “Concrete and Barbed Wire,” soft acoustic guitars are punctuated by electric slide, accordion, mandolin, and Steve Earle’s harmony. Williams’s deeply personal stories are matched with bluesy rumbles, raunchy grooves, and plaintive whispers. The entire Deep South is reduced to a sleepy small town filled with ex-lovers, dive bars, and endless gravel roads. –Marc Greilsamer Customer Review: A very High Level of Creativity I am BLOWN AWAY by this album! Only once or twice if you’re lucky in a lifetime if you come across an artist with this level of creativity and talent. “Too Cool to be Forgotten” - Hey Hey….this song will be remade by future generations of Rockers. “On the way to Jackson” - A fantastic song that sounds like it’s been around since pioneer days and yet it had just been CREATED by Lucinda! “Lake Charles” - Oh my! What a DELICIOUS SONG! I can’t say ENOUGH how FANTASTIC this whole album is and I don’t like writing long-winded reviews…but to give it justice - I would have to create a review as big as anyone’s viewing area. Every song on this album is INCREDIBLE! Every song…something that future generations will re-do. Way ahead of it’s time in creativity and originality. Way ahead.
The Music of John Williams: 40 Years of Film Music
Customer Review: Very disappointing, considering what it could have been Take a look at the running times: Disc 1: 60 minutes Disc 2: 50 minutes Disc 3: 61 minutes Disc 4: 58 minutes What gives Silva? There is *MUCH* more John Williams in the silva screen back catalogue by the Prague Philharmonic than what is in this set, and thats not including their entire discs devoted to Star Wars Films, Indiana Jones Trilogy etc. Why isn’t Hook “When You’re Alone” included on Disc 2? There’s room. Why isn’t 1941 on Disc 1? There’s room. Why isn’t Earthquake on Disc 3? There’s room. Why isn’t Far and Away on disc 4? There’s room. Where’s the other ten minutes of the Rare Breed suite on disc 3? Why isn’t Midway on disc 1? Where are the Land of the Giants, Time Tunnel and Lots In Space tv themes? Etc. Etc. Etc. C’mon Silva, most of these 4 disc mega boxes released in the past few years are packed to the brim, but not this one, and with new recordings made after this was released (the terminal, munich, geisha, war of the worlds, star wars ep 3, harry potter 3), it only makes sense for a “re-do” in the next couple of years. Further, with Silva releasing the 100 Greatest Film Themes on six discs in a couple of months, it’s only a matter of time before we see the ultimate six disc john williams set. This isn’t a BAD set to own, but it could have been much better and when compared to the Jerry Goldsmith and John Barry sets in this same series, this one is a major letdown.

Racor 25-by-7-1/2-Inch Car Protector Plastic Wall Guard #PWG-1R
Protect those garage walls and swinging car doors with this wall guard from Racor. The guard comes with all hardware needed for easy mounting to drywall, studs, brick and concrete. Mounting holes are 16 and 24 inches apart for easy fastening to studs. The guard measures 25 by 7-1/2 inches to provide just enough protection for the longer front door that opens closest to the wall. –Brian D. Olson Customer Review: Extremely overpriced chunk of Plastic The description does not give the length, and you would think that for $24 list that you are going to get 4-6 feet of bumper. Not so, you get 24 inches. Of course, you also get “all the hardware to install”–this is three screws not even long enough to go through wallboard to a stud and 3 small plastic anchors. It also does not look like the picture–it is a flat piece of plastic about 24″x4″ with an attaching flange. I really didn’t expect this to be much, but I was still very disappointed. Should sell for $1.99.

Riverdance - The Show
Riverdance–The Show is a cultural phenomenon that defies criticism for the enthusiastic and leaves everyone else scratching their heads. The wonderfully talented cast, headed by the Riverdance Irish Dance Company, bewitchingly spins (and stomps) its Celtic folk choreography featuring numerous breathless solos by Michael Flatley (since departed) and Jean Butler. The mellifluous Riverdance Orchestra boasts Davy Spillane, who coaxes plaintive lamentations out of a peculiar instrument that resembles a bagpipe in a metal leg brace. For Enya fans, there is the sound-alike choral group Anuna, who casts a similarly New Age-style vocal spell. Also thrown into the mix are such disparate folk traditions as American gospel and Spanish flamenco. Though it’s only 70 minutes long, Riverdance is repetitive by half. But judging from the ecstatic audience ovations and the continued foot-stomping during and after the curtain calls, too much is still not enough. –Richard Natale Customer Review: MTV style Editing/filming Was recently looking for Michael Flattley DVDs and ran across the reviews for this edition of Riverdance. Apparently those who handed out the 5 stars never actually attended any sort of dance show. When the camera stayed focused on a dancer(s) for over two seconds the Director went nuts and immediately moved on. I actually like watching dancing, not the bloody camera flying all over the place, or focusing on Mr Flattley’s face. To a degree I enjoyed the performance, when not out of my mind irritated over not being able to concentrate on that performance.

Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
This 1998 Grammy-winning release–Lucinda Williams’s popular breakthrough–certainly merits the double-disc “deluxe edition” treatment. And it’s hard to find significant fault with anything here: the remastered version of the original album, the second-disc live performance from that year featuring guitarists Kenny Vaughn and Bo Ramsey, and the smattering of outtakes (highlighted by a slower, sadder version of “Out of Touch” than the one Williams ended up releasing). Yet the set misses a glorious opportunity to document one of the more laborious (and notorious) recording projects, one that saw Williams switch cities, studios, and producers three times before she was satisfied with the results. And while the results confirm her judgment, fans would likely find it fascinating to hear a lot more takes from the original Austin sessions (featuring accordion master Flaco Jimenez and keyboardist Ian McLagan) or outtakes from the Nashville sessions with producer Steve Earle, before Williams overhauled the project in Los Angeles with Springsteen keyboardist Roy Bittan. Such a set could have put a revelatory spotlight on the creative process that resulted in an album widely regarded as Williams’s masterpiece; instead, this release is more like souvenir snapshots. –Don McLeese Customer Review: Great Concert in South Philly Up from DC to visit a woman I’d just started dating and she suggested going to the WXPN free festival being held right along the Delaware. Southern Culture on the Skids were just finishing, but we were there to see the sometime associate of Steve Earle, who my friend adored. The next act was nothing short of revelatory. The guitars dueled to incredible intensity, the songs were simply brilliant, and I was completely enamored by the singer in jeans and cowboy hat. My friend was a little put out by my rapt attention, but I just couldn’t help it. Lucinda Williams was performing the most magical show I had seen in more than a decade. I went from zero to all of her stuff within a couple of days and caught a few more shows up through Essence. During that stretch, I know of no stronger composer and performer; and her rendition of Masters of War was enough to make you want to take to the streets. Anyway, great album, great show, great artist in her prime. You’d be hard pressed to do better.
