Living Yoga - Power Stamina Yoga for Beginners
The Living Arts Yoga for Beginners stamina video is an easy-to-use beginners program designed to help you learn the basics for power yoga. Customer Review: Great for someone w/ a little yoga experience When I first began yoga, this tape quickly become my favorite after familiarizing myself w/ basic poses (using Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss). I would recommend this to someone who has learned the basics and is looking for something a little more challenging. Rodney Yee is practicing on a beach, in Hawaii. The majority of this workout conisists of Sun Salutations w/ lunges and Warrior poses. There are a few seated or lying down moves and a nice 5 min. cooldown at the end. Total workout time: 20 min. All in all, this is a great tape to have if you are a beginner who is ready to move on OR as a standby for the more advanced practitioner as its a nice quick, feel good workout.
Big Equipment:Farm Machinery
Customer Review: For those interested in farming or tractors Takes you through the process a farmer goes through from preparing the land, planting, harvesting, to boxing the product and placing it in trucks for transport to the grocery store. Strong emphasis on where big tractors fit into these processes. Any young child (2-7) who lives on a farm, and many others that don’t will like this video. It’s can stand up as an instructional video, or simply as a moving picture book of various tractors — whatever your child prefers. My four year old boy likes this video a great deal, and he doesn’t live on a farm. Runs about 30 minutes; video quality is good, not great.
John Cage: In a Landscape
Customer Review: Trite Not Treat There is a common assumption, particularly among the musical literati, that if a piece is novel, obscure, extremely simple, unchromatic or simply weird, it must, by definition, be quality material. Sheer novelty trumps quality. I am reminded of having to hunker down at the Symphony as the conductor launches into an extended “explanation” on why this next piece may not have a melody, discernable beat, nor employ “ordinary” instruments, yet is still a fine piece of art. (Chances are the majority of comments will be along the lines of, “What in the world was that thing with bongo drums & basketballs?” I am the first to admit the artistry, perhaps musicality of Cage even when he takes himself AND his music too seriously. At least we did not have to “listen” to 4′33″. One reviewer was correct - this is perhaps the most accessible offering of the entire ouevre. It is…interesting in a childish sort of way, sort of like someone who learns that hitting notes on a keyboard results in sounds or better, is playing just to hear the sounds that can be produced. DREAM perfectly expresses the mood of this CD (which is wonderful as party backgroup music) with its enigmatic, almost shy explorations. The tracks are united by an almost wordless fear of being closely examined. A few contain a nice rhythmic drive, others remind one of that godawful New Age stuff heard on public radio occasionally. The CD is compelling only if one takes their music with a huge dollop of tenuousness.
Finley 2×4basics Shelf Links, Sand, 6-Pack #09306
Customer Review: Easy to put together, and strong. I’ve built 3 units with the shelf links, and I’ve been extremely pleased with the results. Comes with the screws, and easy to follow directions, including how to measure the “in-between” 2×4’s for a snug fit. Hardest part of the whole process is picking out the best 2×4’s at Home Depot or Lowes…
Standard Deviants: Internet Basics
Internet Basics will put you online in no time - even if you’ve never “surfed” before! This tape will begin by explaining all about the Internet, the World Wide Web, modems, and Internet Service Providers. It also explains topics such as electronic mail, web servers, search engines, navigation tools, and more. If you don’t know how to use the Internet, this tape is an absolute must-have.
Unchained Melody: Very Best Of The Righteous Brothers
Customer Review: 1960s men, folk music, love songs, rock This is a typical Righteous Brothers album. Too much echo but great music that reflects the times that they were recorded.
Vrrrooommm 3! Apple Farming for Kids
Customer Review: Favorite Video My son, age 3, loves this video. He buys apples everytime we go to the grocery store since we bought it. The video takes you on a detailed tour of an apple orchard, an apple sorting facility, an apple pie filling factory, and an apple cider factory. I own five farming videos, and this is by far the best and the most entertaining. It also includes an apple theme song throughout the video, which he loves to sing.
